Bards have been really strong for a while. No one likes nerfs, but I think this one is necessary. Bards should be a strong support classes. However, when a tower with mostly – or only – bards is effective, other classes seem weak by comparison. To address this, I have nerfed the damage done by all bards.
- Minstrel damage has been lowered from 130 to 100
- Commander damage has been lowered from 100 to 70
- Commander – Quickdraw‘s damage bonus has been increased from 20% to 25%
- Scout damage has been lowered from 200 to 140
- Scout – Weaken’s bonus weak effect is now equal to 200% of his damage (up from 150%)
- Minstrel – Mimic now has a base 5% chance to fire a white note
- Minstrel – Mimic now gains a 0.025% chance to fire a white note per point of Mastery (down from 0.04%)
Some players have also pointed out that mastery is a little too strong for many – probably most – talents. I’m planning on going through each talent one at a time and scaling back the mastery bonuses where necessary. Hopefully Magi Order and Templar can become viable factions again with some balancing.
