The Trapper is a special class, which can only be used by players with rank 20 in each class (excluding Highpriest).  While enemies are in range of his tower, he attacks them with spears – otherwise, he places up to 3 traps on the path around his tower.

The trapper can switch between any of the 6 classes at any time (without a penalty) by typing one of the commands below.  Upon switching, the trapper’s spear attack and trap effect will change.  You can read about each type below.

The essence earned by the player will be based on the class type.

Type !spbear to activate. This stance specializes in heavy single-target damage. Effective against bosses and elite mobs.

Bear Trap

Triggers once, clamping onto the enemy and dealing heavy damage over 1 second

Heavy Spear

Deals heavy single-target damage.

  • Spear damage is increased by 4% per archer rank (200% increased damage at rank 50)

ON POWERUP

While powered, spear damage is increased by 50% and attack speed is increased by 100%

TARGET PRIORITY

By default, will attack the “front enemy” (the enemy who is closest to reaching the barracks).

MASTERY

Each point of mastery increases the damage of Bear Trap by 0.17%

Type !sparmor to activate. This stance specializes in armor reduction and single-target damage. Effective against armored enemies.

Armor Trap

Triggers 3 times, dealing single target damage and reducing the enemy’s armor.

Sundering Spear

Deals single-target damage, and reduces the enemy’s armor.

  • Spear damage is increased by 2% per rogue rank (100% increased damage at rank 50)
  • Armor reduction from the trap and spear is increased by 5% per rogue rank (250% increased damage at rank 50)

ON POWERUP

While powered, spears apply their armor reduction to all enemies in a 2.5 meter radius and attack speed is increased by 100%

TARGET PRIORITY

By default, will attack the enemy with the highest armor (and then health), to make it easier for their allies to kill.

MASTERY

Each point of mastery adds 0.42% more armor reduction to Armor Trap

Type !spfire to activate. This stance specializes in area of effect damage. Effective against tightly grouped mobs such as spiders and ants.

Fire Trap

Triggers once, igniting all enemies within 5 meters. Causing them to burn for 4 seconds.

Oil Soaked Spear

Deals single-target damage. Upon impact, if the target is burning, it will cause an explosion – damaging all enemies within 2.5 meters.

  • Spear and explosion damage is increased by 2% per firemage rank (100% increased damage at rank 50)
  • Burn duration is increased by 2% per firemage rank (8 second burn time at rank 50)

ON POWERUP

While powered, attack speed is increased by 100%. Spear’s will explode on impact even if the enemy is not burning.  If burning, the explosion will cause chain-explosions on all burning enemies within 2.5 meters

TARGET PRIORITY

By default, will attack the target with the most nearby enemies. If any enemies are burning, he’ll target them first.

MASTERY

Each point of mastery increases the Area of Effect of Fire Trap by 0.083%

Type !spfrost to activate. This stance specializes in slowing, stunning, and knocking-back enemies. Effective against fast mobs, such as goblins.

Frost Trap

Triggers 3 times, stunning the enemy for 1 second, and leaving behind a “frost cloud” which slows enemies as they pass through it.

Forceful Spear

Deals single target damage. Has a 20% chance to knockback the enemy on impact.

  • Spear damage is increased by 2% per frostmage rank (100% increased damage at rank 50)
  • Knockback chance is increased by 0.4% per frostmage rank (40% knockback chance at rank 50)

ON POWERUP

While powered, attack speed is increased by 100%, and knockback chance is doubled.

TARGET PRIORITY

By default, will target the closest enemy which is not currently immune to knockback.

MASTERY

Each point of mastery increases the stun duration of Frost Trap by 0.125%

Type !sppoison to activate. This stance specializes in damage-over-time. Effective against burrowing or cloaking enemies, such as shrooms.

Poison-Tipped Spear

Applies a poison to the enemy which deals damage over 8 seconds. Only one stack of poison (per trapper) can be on a single target

Poison Trap

Triggers 4 times, dealing single-target damage. If the enemy is already poisoned by the trapper’s spear, it will immediately deal the remaining damage on the poison. Can target burrowed enemies.

  • Spear damage is increased by 2% per alchemist rank (100% increased damage at rank 50)
  • Poison duration is increased by 2% per alchemist rank (16 second duration at rank 50)

ON POWERUP

While powered, attack speed is increased by 100%, and the poison can stack up to 3 times.

TARGET PRIORITY

By default, will attack the closest enemy who is not already poisoned.

MASTERY

Each point of mastery adds 0.25% more damage to Poison Trap

Type !spweak to activate. This stance specializes in temporarily weakening enemies, making them easier to kill.

Weakening Trap

Triggers 3 times, lowering the enemy’s health for 5 seconds.

Deadly Spear

Deals single-target damage. Deals 150% damage against weakened targets

  • Spear damage is increased by 2% per bard rank (100% increased damage at rank 50)
  • Trap’s weakening affect is increased by 2% per bard rank (100% more weakening at rank 50)
