Pre-reset Balance Changes

Tomorrow Today is the first of the month, which means I’ll be resetting the highscores and average scores for each map.  To prepare for the reset I’m going to be balancing classes a little bit.  Many of these changes will be nerfs because I prefer not to nerf classes once new highscores have been set.  Here are the changes I have made.  I’ll continue to track class performance and make changes as necessary.

  • Tricksters: Overall damage has been increased by 33%.  Their attack period is now normalized: it used to start at 2 seconds and increase as they leveled, now it will always be 1 second.  This is to counter the issue where Tricksters kind of sucked until higher levels.
  • Alchemist damage was increased slightly (300 325, up from 285).
  • Lightningmages are out-performing all other classes at the moment.  To limit their power to enemies that are grouped tightly, their max jump distance has been lowered from 3 meters to 2 meters.
  • Stormmages are out-performing other Frostmages.  Their base slow amount has been changed from ~50% to ~60%, and their base radius has been changed from 4 meters to 3.5 meters.
  • Base Archer’s are under-performing compared to Snipers and Falconeers. Their base damage has been increased (100 from 90).
  • Base Firemages are out-performing the firemage specializations. Their base damage has been decreased (90 from 100).
  • Ninjas are out-performing other rogue specs. Their base damage has be decreased (60 from 65).
  • Snipers’ base damage has been increased slightly (325 from 300).
